The Learning Management System (LMS) Essentials Course (formerly Blackboard Certification). The Learning Management System or LMS is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, automation and delivery of educational courses, training programs, or learning and development programs. Howard University's LMS is Blackboard. The LMS can be used to facilitate courses across all instructional modalities (face-to-face, HY-FLEX, hybrid-blended, & online).
Please Note: All faculty having completed the Blackboard Certification will be recognized as being certified in the LMS Essentials and not expected to complete the LMS Essentials Course.
